At Shiftyn we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Shiftyn mobile app and services, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
01Data Controller
Shiftyn is operated by Kamil Yarbaşı as an individual business based in Türkiye. This is the party responsible for processing your data and the contact for exercising the rights described below.

02Data We Collect
We collect only the data needed to provide the service. We do not use behavioral analytics (e.g. Google Analytics).
Account information
- Your name, email address, and preferred language.
Product data
- The shifts, plans, leave requests, and team memberships you create.
Technical data
- Mobile crash reports: if the app crashes, technical information such as device type and crash logs is collected to fix the error (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Server error logs: errors on our servers are recorded; these logs are configured to exclude personally identifiable information (PII) (Sentry).
Subscription data
- Your subscription status and trial period (managed via Adapty). Your payment and card details are handled by Apple or Google; we do not store them.
Notification & advertising identifiers
- A device token to send push notifications (FCM).
- Advertising identifiers used to show ads on the free Solo plan only (Google AdMob). Details in section 5.
03How We Use Your Data
- To create your account and provide the service (shift tracking, scheduling, team management).
- To manage your subscription and trial period.
- To send push notifications.
- To debug errors and keep the service secure.
- To show ads on the free Solo plan only.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes other than advertising as described.

To provide the service we work with the trusted providers below. Each accesses only the data needed for its function.

05Advertising & Consent
Ads are shown only on the free Solo plan. Solo Pro, team members, and all Team plans are ad-free. Our ads are served by Google AdMob. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland, we show Google's consent form before any ad loads. This form asks whether you allow your data to be used for personalized ads.
You can withdraw your consent. You can change or withdraw your ad consent at any time within the app via Profile → Privacy Options. Declining or withdrawing consent does not remove ads; instead, non-personalized (contextual) ads are shown. For an ad-free experience you can upgrade to Solo Pro.
06Data Location & International Transfer
Your account and product data are hosted within the European Union (Hetzner servers in Germany and Cloudflare). Some service providers listed above (Google, Apple, Sentry, Adapty) may process data in the United States. Such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.
07Retention & Deletion
We keep your data only while your account is active. When you delete your account from within the app, your data is deleted immediately. Deleted data is fully removed from disaster-recovery backups within 30 days at the latest.
08Your Rights
Depending on where you are located (KVKK, GDPR, CCPA), you have the following rights over your data:
- To know what data we process and request a copy (access).
- To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- To request deletion of your data (you can do this directly via account deletion).
- To receive your data in a portable format.
- To withdraw your advertising consent (Profile → Privacy Options).
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Türkiye, the KVKK Authority).
09Children's Privacy
Shiftyn is not directed to people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If we learn that a child under 16 has provided us with data, we will delete it.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you within the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
